The University of Louisville Cardinals face off against the Boston College Eagles this weekend in a Battle of the Bottom. Each team is 0-2 in the ACC and both teams are desperate for their first conference win. A win that will get them back on track in a ruthless ACC.

Louisville has lost both of their ACC matchups this season, losing the first to Syracuse in a 31-7 blowout loss and their second to the Florida State Seminoles in a back and forth battle all the way up to the fourth quarter, ultimately facing defeat with a final score of 35-31.

Boston College has also lost both of their ACC matchups so far this season, losing to both Virginia Tech (27-10) and Florida State (44-14), respectively. With an overall record of 1-3, the Eagles do not have too much to be proud of this year thus far, but they do have home field advantage in this game, which should not be so easily glossed over. Quarterback Phil Jurkovec has not performed well so far this season, minimizing his game from a dual-threat quarterback to merely a pocket passer, which would be acceptable. But he has thrown nearly as many interceptions as he has touchdowns with five interceptions to seven touchdowns.

This is a statistic the Cardinals are looking to capitalize on with Yasir Abdullah looking to increase his yearly interception total to three and those cornerbacks flying around in the secondary behind him. Malik Cunningham looks to replicate his stellar performance against the University of South Florida, leading them to a merciless victory over the Bulls with a final score of 41-3.

The Cardinals look to be finding their groove and a win over the Eagles would keep that momentum going. Louisville opens up the game as 13.5 point favorites on the road. Last week, the Cards were 15.5 point favorites over the Bulls, and they covered easily. So, the best bet to make here potentially could be taking the Cards to cover or potentially the over as the total points sits at 50.5 points.
