Five-Star small forward Trentyn Flowers announced today he was trimming his list of 30 offers to 13 final schools. The Huntington, West Virginia prospect has included Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, and UNC in the last 13, but the Cardinals have an advantage where the other schools do not. Flowers will be joining other prospects, listed below, at Louisville Live on October 21st.

  • AJ Johnson ’23 5 Star
  • Elliot Cadeau ’24 5 Star
  • Carter Bryant ’24 5 Star
  • Karter Knox ’24 5 Star
  • EJ Walker ’25 4 Star

Kenny Payne has already reached out on social media, urging fans to attend. 2023 will be the first year Louisville Live will take place at Slugger Field and there is an undisclosed “special guest” that appears to be Jack Harlow.  Harlow just released this update on his Instagram account.

Trentyn Flowers Statement about Louisville Basketball

“Coach KP (Kenny Payne) and Coach Nolan (Smith) have been super consistent with me,” Flowers told Joe Tipton of On3 sports. “Even before I had the offer and we really started talking, they were at all my games. They watched me play a whole lot this summer. They just believe in my talent. It’s a great place and a great school. I took a unofficial there last year and I loved it. So with the new staff, it’s going to be nice this year.”

Flowers transferred to Combine Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina, for his junior year. He told Joe Tipton of On3 that his goal is to be a “one and done” and find somewhere that can be a home away from home.
