Kenny Payne seeks to make a splash in next year’s recruiting class by landing 4-Star Center Isaiah Miranda.

LOUISVILLE, KY– The 7-foot big man out of Castaic, California made his official visit to Louisville last month and from the looks of it he enjoyed himself by throwing up an L with the coaching staff.

Miranda has recently made news in the Louisville world because of Travis Branham, the National Basketball Analyst for 247 Sports who identified Louisville as Miranda’s top landing spot over the NBA G-League. The Southern California Academy product would be a huge win for Kenny Payne and staff because he has received offers from a long list of Division I schools, that includes the likes of USC, UConn, Texas, and Kentucky.

Miranda is one of Louisville’s top prospects right now along with AJ Johnson, George Washington III, and DJ Wagner. But with the recent news of Wagner’s NIL deal with Nike, it is highly likely he is a done deal to Kentucky. GWIII is looking promising to suit up in the red and white, but it has not been made official yet.

AJ Johnson will be in town this coming weekend for Louisville Live and he is leaning heavy towards the Cardinals. Coach Payne’s respected reputation can cause a ripple in the NCAA recruiting universe with the potential signings of Miranda, Johnson, and Washington.

Landing two of those three would be considered a win for Louisville basketball, but landing all three would skyrocket the respect of the program and for the current staff. Coach Payne brought in high class coaching staff in Danny Manning and Nolan Smith. The future of Louisville basketball is looking bright.
