Five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau just recently announced his Top Six Schools: Louisville, Syracuse, Texas, North Carolina, Texas Tech, and Kansas.

The 6-foot-1 point guard would be the headliner for Coach Payne’s 2024 Recruiting Class and certainly the future face of Louisville basketball. According to ON3, it is a close battle between Louisville and North Carolina to land Cadeau, but the vying for his commitment has only just begun.

Newly installed Head Coach Kenny Payne and staff have wasted no time in recruiting Cadeau to the Cardinals. In fact, he just recently was in town for Louisville Live and looked good in Louisville threads.

The New Jersey native recently transferred to Link Academy in Branson, Missouri from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey. Cadeau is entering his junior season as a new member of the Lions joining fellow five-star recruit Ja’Kobe Walter from McKinney, Texas.

The Link Academy Lions are adding a potential superstar in Cadeau. During his freshman season, he almost recorded a triple-double against Gill St. Bernard’s. Then, three weeks later he dropped 30 points against St. Joseph High School (NJ).

His recruiting sample size was cut short as he sat out his entire sophomore year with an ankle injury. But he looks to rebound for the Lions in a big way. From December 1-3, 2022, Cadeau and the Lions will be in Paducah, KY for the Marshall County Hoopfest. Paducah is in Louisville’s backyard, so look for a member of the Cardinal coaching staff to be in attendance for that.
