Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly coaches her way to a stellar regular season for the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals, under her leadership, finished with a 26-2 cumulative record and only one of those losses came within conference play.

In fact, the in-conference loss came at the hands of the Pittsburgh Panthers, who will end their season against the Boston College Eagles on Saturday November 26, 2022. As of now, Louisville has completed their portion of the project and is now awaiting the matchup on Saturday to see if they will be entitled to lone ownership of the award or if they will have to share it with the Pittsburgh Panthers.

The Panthers currently have a 26-3 overall record with a 16-1 record in the ACC Conference. Pittsburgh has been victorious over Boston College once this year already on November 6, 2022 coming away with a 3-1 victory.

The final matchup between these two teams has a lot of implications and Coach Kelly’s team will most likely tune in. The Panthers-Eagles matchup is set for 1 PM EST on Saturday.

This Louisville team has been dominant all year long without question but one of Louisville’s marquee players had been out for two months with an injury. She came back on November 18th for their matchup against Pittsburgh and with her back in the lineup for the final two regular season games the Cardinals never lost another set.

She is none other than Louisville native Anna DeBeer. The junior outside hitter meshed well into a Louisville lineup that has been dominant all season long. In her first game back, she contributed an ace, five digs, and scored two points. DeBeer followed up that performance against the Fighting Irish with six digs, an ace, and added seven points.

All year long, the Cardinals have been led by graduate student Claire Chaussee‘s dominant performances. The Sun Prairie, Wisconsin native finished the 2022 regular season with an astounding 370 kills and 21 aces, a career high in each category for her tenure as a Louisville Cardinal.

Dominant performance could be the two words to summarize Louisville’s regular season thus far. Now, they are anticipating the 2022 NCAA Tournament Selection Show that is set to be held on Sunday November 27, 2022 at 7:30 EST on ESPNU. There is no doubt that Louisville will receive a high ranking in the region they are selected to play in.
