The University of Louisville Athletic Association (ULAA) is scheduled to hold a Board of Directors meeting today at 4:00 PM EST as a formality to make the hiring of Jeff Brohm as Head Coach of the football program official.

Brohm, a member of Louisville’s First Football Family, was a star quarterback at Trinity High School, a star quarterback at the University of Louisville, the former Head Coach of Louisville’s arena football team, the Louisville Fire, and a former quarterbacks coach under Bobby Petrino. Needless to say, he bleeds Louisville red and the identity of what it takes to be a Louisville Cardinal is coursing through his veins.

Jeff is the middle brother nestled in between Greg (eldest) and Brian (youngest). Both of his brothers have followed Jeff everywhere he has gone in terms of employment in the college football arena. When Jeff was announced as the Head Coach for Western Kentucky on December 27, 2013, his brother Greg joined him on staff serving as the Director of Football Operations and their youngest brother Brian joined their staff serving as the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach.

The precedence continued in West Lafayette, Indiana as the brothers assumed their same roles for Purdue University. Jeff was hired on December 5, 2016 and Greg and Brian were hired on January 2, 2017.

All three of them were stars at Trinity and all three of them were stars at Louisville. So it seems as if these three brothers have been orbiting the University of Louisville for almost nine years now destined for a collision course with 2301 S Third Street, Louisville, KY.

As of today, it will made official that the Brohm family has successfully collided with Louisville as he will be named the new Head Football Coach. Don’t be surprised if Greg and Brian aren’t hired on staff right away as it took them about a month to join him on staff at Purdue. The legal formalities tend to slow things down at times.

The first legal formality is the Board Meeting set for this afternoon and then after that meeting is completed, then a public statement from the University is set to follow. The excitement is through the roof for Louisville football fans and a new era has officially dawned.
