One day after Louisville flipped Purdue’s Micah Carter, three-star defensive lineman Saadiq Clements out of Henderson County, KY simultaneously announced his decommitment from Purdue and his commitment to the University of Louisville.

Under the Satterfield administration, there was a lot of talk around town as he was unable to recruit the state of Kentucky and much less Louisville. Now with two commitments from the state of Kentucky and one within the city limits of Louisville, it seems like newly installed Head Coach Jeff Brohm has a hold on the city of Louisville in a way that Satterfield did not.

Micah Carter, listed as the number one prospect in the state of Kentucky, currently attends local powerhouse St. Xavier High School, the historic rival of Brohm’s alma mater Trinity High School. Joining him in the Top Five Kentucky prospect pool is Saadiq Clements out of Henderson County High School.

The Cardinals now has two of the top five prospects in the state of Kentucky and Jeff Brohm has been on the job at Louisville for less than a week. The additions of Carter and Clements help bolster a defensive line that will be losing Yaya Diaby, Yasir Abdullah, and Momo Sanogo.
