Louisville bb recruiting: 2025 4-Star needs ACC scholarship
Head Basketball Coach Kenny Payne needs to take a page out of Head Football Coach Jeff Brohm’s playbook in regards to his area of expertise in the recruiting department. Coach Brohm, during his time at Purdue, was known for his excellence in recruiting talent within the state and surrounding states.
Specifically, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan were his go-to states for scouting talent and Head Coach Kenny Payne could learn from this strategy.
Trent Sisley, a 6’7” sophomore power forward, currently plays his high school basketball for the Heritage Hills Patriots in Lincoln City, Indiana. Sisley is the younger brother of Blake Sisley, who recently transferred to Wright State from the University of Evansville.
Blake scored six points in the meeting between Louisville and Wright State earlier this season as the Raiders narrowly escaped with a one-point victory.
Coming out of high school, the consensus was that Trent would ultimately become the better player than Blake and according to 247 Sports, that appears to be true. Trent is currently a four-star recruit, while his older brother was recruited as a three-star recruit.
Trent currently holds five Division I offers and all of them are from Big Ten programs. The list includes: Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, Indiana, and Purdue.
The proximity of Lincoln City, IN to Louisville, KY is only a mere hour and a half. So, Kenny Payne and staff should become the first Atlantic Coast Conference program to offer him a scholarship.
Not only would he be close to home, but he could also become an impact player as he is already rated as a four-star player as a sophomore. He has the ability to stretch the floor, shoot the deep ball, and handle the ball.
Through seven games, Sisley is averaging 26.7 points per game and 10.7 rebounds a game while shooting 61% from the field. With these kind of numbers, he is making a significant impact for the Patriots and the scary part is…he is only a sophomore.
He is only going to get better and could become a great asset for the Cardinals.
