With National Signing Day officially coming to a close, it’s safe to say Jeff Brohm did an impressive job holding this recruiting class together as much as he could for being on the job for less than a month. Louisville did lose a couple of recruits who flipped to different schools, but that is something that would have happened regardless of a new Head Coach or not. It’s a product of the current recruiting wave that sweeps the nation.

Louisville’s lone five-star recruit was El Campo’s Rueben Owens, but he decided to flip to a school that was closer to home and one that had been recruiting him since he was a freshman in high school. But, another major factor of his departure was Running Backs Coach De’Rail Sims leaving to accept the same position at the University of Cincinnati.

After his decommitment from the Cardinals, fellow FlyVille23 members Jayden Davis, Rayquan Adkins, and DeAndre Moore joined him in choosing other schools. Davis and Adkins followed Scott Satterfield to Cincinnati and Moore delayed his signing, ultimately to join the Longhorns.

With openings in the running back room and the wide receiving room, Coach Brohm was able to fill in some of those holes with transfer wide receivers Jadon Thompson from Cincinnati and Jimmy Calloway from Tennessee. He also recruited former Purdue running back commit Keyjuan Brown to come to Louisville.

To say Brohm has had an immediate impact thus far would be an understatement and it appears he is not done. Two other players in the transfer portal have just received a Crystal Ball prediction to join the Cardinals. While a Crystal Ball prediction is not set in stone, it is a good indication that things are moving behind the scenes.

The first player to receive a Crystal Ball prediction is California graduate transfer QB Jack Plummer. Plummer has played from Brohm previously when he was the head coach at Purdue and he is the perfect style quarterback to help bridge the gap between the Cunningham and Clarkson eras of Louisville football.

The second player to receive a Crystal Ball prediction is Texas A&M transfer CB

was in Louisville, Kentucky. Once this was announced on social media, the rumors started swirling about his commitment to the Cardinals. And now it seems like there is at least some traction to those rumors when Cardinal Authority’s Jody Demling and Michael McCammon both predicted his commitment to join Brohm and staff.

The former four-star recruit would be an incredible secondary addition joining the likes of four-star recruit Aaron Williams, four-star Arkansas transfer Myles Slusher, and three-star Baylor transfer Devin Neal Jr.
