Under the direction of Head Coach Jeff Brohm and the coaching staff, there has been a lot of roster movement over the past few weeks. With the new trend of NIL and the growth of the transfer portal, college football is becoming more and more like the NFL every day; as players can now make money in college and are free to go to another program with all of the control in where they want to go, much like an NFL free agent.

One of the particular groups that has seen a significant amount of transition is the wide receiving corps for Jeff Brohm’s newly installed air-raid offense. Here is an update on the wide receivers coming in and going out.

Declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft

Originally an FCS tranfer from Central Arkansas, Tyler Hudson played one season with Louisville before entering his name into the 2023 NFL Draft. In his lone season as a Cardinal, he recorded 1,034 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Hudson entered his name into the 2023 NFL Draft pool on December 14, 2022 via an announcement on his Twitter account.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky and a graduate of duPont Manual High School, Jaelin Carter originally committed to Eastern Kentucky University as a two-star recruit. He logged 449 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Colonels in three seasons.

In 2020, he walked-on for his hometown team, the Louisville Cardinals and eventually earned himself a scholarship for his last season as a Cardinal. Carter capped off his collegiate career with seven receptions, 113 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

On January 9, 2023, he announced via Twitter his declaration for the 2023 NFL Draft.
