Players From the 2022 Season who are Returning Next Season (cont.)

Jatavian Churchill, a Kentucky native out of Washington County High School, joined the Cardinals in the summer of 2020 as a preferred walk-on. Initially, he arrived on-campus as an athlete who can play both sides of the ball, but on the Louisville Cardinals official website he is listed as a wide receiver. Although, his only recorded game stat is one solo tackle, which he recorded this season with their win over James Madison University.

Austin Holland is a walk-on transfer from Georgia Military College, the same college that Yaya Diaby and Trevor Reid came from. In the 2021 season, Holland spent the season as a member of the practice team and failed to see the game field last season either. But, as of now, the 5-foot-11 wideout is still currently on the roster.

A native of Klein, Texas, the 6-foot-1 wideout received several scholarship offers from small schools including Bethany College, Sterling College, and Iowa Wesleyan College. However, he wanted to go to a Division I program with a higher talent pool, so he decided to walk-on at Louisville after spending a year at Utah State.

In his lone year at Utah State, he did not record any game stats and was redshirted.

Perhaps the most intriguing of the bunch is walk-on wide receiver Tye Moore out of Riverside Community College. Coming out of high school, he was given a two-star rating and signed his letter of intent to play for the University of New Mexico. After spending two seasons with the Lobos, he transferred to Riverside Community College for one season and recorded 326 receiving yards and a touchdown.

But, the most intriguing fact about him is that he is the older brother of former Louisville football commit DeAndre Moore, who flipped his commitment to Texas at the last minute.
