Former Louisville Male High School product William “Woo” Spencer is set to announce his college commitment tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM EST at Aspirations Gym in Louisville, KY.

As a junior in high school, William “Woo” Spencer was ranked the number one overall player in the state of Kentucky before transferring to the other side of the Ohio River to join the New Albany High School Bulldogs, which left the number one overall prospect honors available for the taking.

Saint Xavier High School’s Micah Carter was awarded the honor of the top overall prospect in  Kentucky and now he has signed to the University of Louisville to play for Head Coach Jeff Brohm. Once William Spencer decided to go to Indiana, he became the fourth overall prospect in the entire state.

Jeff Brohm’s reputation is employing an air-raid offense and spreading out the field, but he has been hungry for local defensive lineman and Woo Spencer is the latest to receive his undivided attention. Woo Spencer posted on Twitter twice in a span of a two weeks documenting two separate in-home visits by the Louisville football staff.

The first visit was from Defensive Coordinator Ron English and Defensive Assistant Mark Hagen, while the second one was both of them joined by Head Coach Jeff Brohm.

It appears that he is very high on Louisville’s list of desired athletes and the feeling appears to be mutual as Louisville made his top three college choices, joined by the University of Kentucky and Michigan State University. Now, it seems the Battle for Woo is coming to an end as he has publicly announced his decision date for tomorrow, February 1, 2023 at 6:30 PM EST in Louisville, KY.

The four-star defensive line prospect would join a loaded incoming defensive class that includes fellow Kentuckians and defensive linemen Saadiq Clements and Micah Carter, as well as edge rusher Adonijah Green, linebacker Stanquan Clark, defensive back Aaron Williams, transfer defensive back Marquis Groves-Killebrew, transfer safety Gilbert Frierson, transfer safety Devin Neal, transfer edge rusher Rodney McGraw, and transfer edge rusher Stephen Herron Jr.
