Louisville could face the 4-seed Texas team in the second round, which is a familiar opponent for this Cardinal basketball team. Louisville played this Longhorn team back in November of this season down in the Bahamas. The Cardinals escaped with a 71-63 victory. I would say there’s a huge difference between this Cardinal team and the team that left for the Bahamas back in mid-November of 2022.

Nothing is automatic, but I would feel really good with Louisville’s chances against Texas in a rematch on another neutral site location. The only thing that concerns me about this Texas team is the size they have with four players over 6’4″. If they go big at some point in the game, it could cause problems for Jeff Walz and company.
