Jarcoby Hopson Jr. was also on-campus on Monday with his high school teammate Kamarion Franklin. The four-star safety/linebacker hybrid announced in early March that he was planning on visiting Jeff Brohm and the Louisville football program, and that came to fruition just three days ago.

Jarcoby Hopson Jr. is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound Class of 2025 prospect out of Lake Cormorant High School in Mississippi. According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, he is the No. 2 prospect in the state of Mississippi right behind his teammate Kamarion Franklin.

Last season with the Gators, he played on the offensive side of the ball as he recorded 94 rushing yards on 19 carries and 3 rushing touchdowns. He only played in four games last season, but still managed to find his way into the endzone a few times.

After his visit, he caught up with Jody Demling of Cardinal Authority, and told him he enjoyed his visit.

"“I enjoyed being at Louisville and what stood out (on the visit) to me was the practice and seeing the safeties do drills and how they attack the ball and play together. I really liked what I saw.”"

It will be fun to watch his recruitment continue to gain traction over the next couple of years.
