Kenny Payne and Jeff Brohm are both recruiting heavily this week on-campus, the future is bright for both programs

Elijah Clinton and Jayden Miles

Former teammates of Kaden Magwood at Western High School, 2025 combo guard Elijah Clinton and 2025 small forward Jayden Miles were both reportedly on-campus with Kaden Magwood on Tuesday of this week to visit Kenny Payne and the Louisville basketball program.

According to Jody Demling of 247Sports’ Cardinal Authority, combo guard Elijah Clinton currently holds one offer from Southeast Missouri State and has several other mid-majors looking at him. But, now heading into his junior season as a 6-foot-6 combo guard, he hasn’t even come close to reaching his full potential yet.

Clinton’s teammate Jayden Miles is a 6-foot-8, 180-pound small forward who also has a bright future ahead of him. According to Cardinal Authority, Miles currently holds one offer from Western Illinois, who extended it to him in late April of 2022. But, in an interview with Jody Demling, he did confess:

"“I’d love to be a hometown hero,” he said. “That would be nice.”"

Prior to that statement Demling said,

"“Besides the Western Illinois offer, Miles has been hearing from Miami of Ohio, Western Kentucky, and Georgetown College.  The new staff at Louisville did watch Western at the Collins High School event in June and Miles said he has “heard a little” from the Cardinals…With his size, length and skillset, Miles is a player that Louisville’s staff will likely keep their eyes on for the future. And that would be fine with Miles, who grew up a Louisville fan.”"

It doesn’t seem too far out of the realm of possibility for Kenny Payne to bring home Kaden Magwood, Elijah Clinton, and Jayden Miles and into the Louisville basketball program as members of the Class of 2025.
