Kei’Trel Clark – Junior – CB – 5’10 – 177 Lbs. Draft Expectation: 3rd–4th Round

Kei’Trel Clark began his collegiate career at Liberty University, but after one season with the Eagles, Clark transferred to the University of Louisville.

Clark made an immediate impact with the Cards as he earned second team all-ACC accolades and tied for 12th nationally in pass breakups with 11 passes defended in 2020. He came into his second season with the Cards as a sure-fire top-100 pick in the NFL Draft, but a torn ACL eight games into the 2021 season derailed Clark’s draft momentum.

After back-to-back seasons as an All-ACC performer, Clark’s play diminished slightly in his senior season as he attempted to fully recover from his torn ACL. But, as the season went on, Cardinals fans started to see more of the old Kei’Trel Clark they had grown to love.

And just like Diaby, Clark has made his money in the offseason. A top ten 40-yard dash and an impressive performance at the Shrine Bowl has Clark rising up NFL mock drafts.

Kei’Trel Clark received an impressive amount of buzz at the Shrine Bowl for plays like that one. He was considered by many to be one of the biggest risers from the week of practice leading up to the game, and many teams could see him as their future shutdown nickel corner.

Clark is the 145th ranked NFL Draft prospect, according the CBS Sports. That has him slated to be a 4th or 5th round pick, but with the buzz he created at the Shrine Bowl and at the NFL Combine, I expect to see his name called early on Day Three of the draft.
