Louisville Head Football Coach Jeff Brohm has already begun his spring practices with his new team, kicking off his first season at the helm of his beloved alma mater. He is set to lead the Cardinals into the trenches this coming fall, but he has not finished perfecting his roster for the upcoming season. His latest addition is an under-recruited, three-star running back named TJ Martin out of St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington, Delaware.

TJ Martin has a three-star rating on both 247Sports and On3, but neither site has any collegiate offers or interests listed. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back has seemingly flown under the radar, which is exactly the kind of player that Jeff Brohm likes to target.

Last season as a senior on the St. Mark’s High School Spartans, he recorded 87 carries for 582 yards and eight touchdowns. He was the leading rusher on his team by nearly 150 yards on his way to leading the Spartans to an impressive 10-2 record.

Martin joins a Louisville team with several running backs in the backfield, including three-star running back Keyjuan Brown who is also a part of the 2023 recruiting class, three-star Kaden Moorman, and Wisconsin transfer Isaac Guerendo. And not to mention returner from last season Jawhar “Jaws” Jordan, who will most likely get the ‘No.1 on the depth chart’ nod.

Jeff Brohm continues to add depth to this Louisville team and there are no signs that he is slowing down before the 2023-2024 season begins. So, look for him to continue to make splashes in the recruiting world.
