At 1:00 PM today, 2024 three-star quarterback Deuce Adams announced his commitment to Jeff Brohm and the University of Louisville football program. With his commitment to the Cardinals, he becomes the third member of the 2024 recruiting class and the first one from a state other than Florida.

The other two recruits in the Class of 2024 are five-star edge rusher TJ Capers and four-star running back Isaac Adams, who are both from the Sunshine State. Adding Deuce Adams to this class is a massive recruiting win for Head Coach Jeff Brohm and staff because Deuce Adams may hold a three-star rating, but it could easily be argued that he should be a four-star or higher.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound signal caller currently suits up for Canyon High School in New Braunfels, Texas, and played all last season as the starter for the Cougars. In eleven games played, he recorded 3,007 passing yards, 34 touchdowns, and an average of 273.4 yards per game.

This kind of production led his team to a 9-2 record on the season and an impressive junior campaign for Adams that could serve as a launching pad into his senior year. For comparison’s sake, 247Sports has Julian Sayin as the No. 2 overall quarterback prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle, and last season for the Carlsbad Lancers, he recorded 2,708 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and an average of 225.7 passing yards per game.

Yet, Julian Sayin is a five-star prospect and Deuce Adams is a three-star prospect who put up larger numbers.

Deuce Adams just completed a three-day official visit to the University of Louisville on April 3, 2023.

The New Braunfels, Texas product landed in Louisville around 2:30 PM on April 1st, per his Twitter account.

And the rest was history. Adams really enjoyed his visit to Louisville and told Big Red Louie in a brief interview the reason why he chose Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals over everybody else:

"“The offense mainly, but there is so many other +’s to Louisville.”"

According to Adams, there is a lot to like about Louisville, but in particular, Jeff Brohm’s air-raid offense caught his attention and the opportunity to play in it was exciting to him. It will be riveting to see the next wave of quarterbacks compete for the Cardinals in his offense.
