Hunter Sallis – Guard – 6’5 – Gonzaga

The former five-star recruit hit the portal last week and originally didn’t receive any interest from Louisville’s staff, but, on Friday, it was reported Louisville has gotten in touch with the former McDonald’s All-American.

Sallis spent the last two seasons putting up less than remarkable numbers in Spokane, but, based on his list of offers, a lot of teams still see the potential he has to offer.

Sallis averaged 4.5 PPG, 2.2 RPG, & 1.4 APG on a little less than 17 MPG last season for the Bulldogs.

Though Sallis has struggled to make a huge impact in college, he had a nasty highlight reel back in high school.

Though Louisville didn’t make Sallis’ top-8 schools, they did get featured in his top-12, so there is some previous interest between the two.

Sallis hasn’t done a ton at Gonzaga, so I’m not shocked to see him leave for a new school. The Cards are getting in on him a little later than the rest of the schools, so it may be an uphill climb.

He’s got great length and athleticism, so he certainly fits what Kenny Payne is looking for in a guard. It’ll be interesting to see if Louisville can get a visit scheduled soon.
