Tylor Perry – Guard – 5’11 – North Texas

The 2023 C-USA Player of the Year has been atop nearly every Louisville basketball fan’s wish list since it was announced last week the staff has shown interest, and this week the staff picked up more good news.

Louisville making the top-8 for one of the best transfer guards out there is HUGE news.

Tylor Perry fits a similar mold as El Ellis. A shooting guard playing as a point guard due to his lack of size. Perry put up 17.3 PPG, 3.4 RPG, & 2.1 APG, and his percentages on that high level of scoring are even more impressive.

Perry shot 44% from the field and over 40% from the three point line (with more than 7 attempted threes per game).

The current roster is in need of ball handlers, scorers, and shooters, and Perry checks all three of those boxes.

Unfortunately, Perry is continuing to schedule visits to other schools on his top-8 list.

So far, Perry has either visited or plans to visit Florida, Ole Miss, and Alabama. Florida has already picked up guard transfers and the no.1 ranked transfer portal in the class, so hopefully Perry is out on the Gators.

And now, it looks like Perry is visiting yet another SEC school.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, ERIC! You’ve had your fun, now it’s time to share.

If Eric Musselman lands another guard that Louisville is on he’s a shoe-in for Mike Rutherford’s ‘Least Cool Person of the Year’ award.

Louisville desperately needs a visit with this kid if they want a legitimate chance to land him.
