Charles Pride – Guard – 6’4 – Bryant University

Charles Pride has played more than 100 games of college basketball, so he’ll bring an incredible amount of experience to whatever program he commits to.

Pride finished last year with an impressive 14.6 PPG, 6.1 RPG & 2.4 APG, all while shooting 45% from the field and 37% from the three-point line (with more than 5 three-pointers attempted per game).

Nearly a month ago, Louisville was one of the first schools to show interest in Pride, but Pride seems to have locked in on other schools.

A Providence visit on Friday was proceeded by Zoom calls with Minnesota and Rhode Island earlier in the week.

It’s always impossible to tell whether Louisville stopped showing interest in a player, or if the player decided to move away from a school, but it seems safe to say that Pride won’t be a Cardinal next year.

I think he would’ve provided incredible leadership, for a team that will likely be very young and feature one player with tournament experience. Add on his shooting ability, and I would’ve been all in on Pride. He’s certainly not the most talented transfer out there, but he would’ve brought a lot to next year’s team.
