5. Peyton Siva (2009-2013)

Peyton Siva holds the UofL men’s basketball single-season record for both assists (228) and steals (90). He is also one of two players to ever win the Big East Tournament MVP in back-to-back seasons, the other being Georgetown legend Patrick Ewing.

Arguably the best floor general in program history, Siva helped the Cards reach the Final Four in back-to-back seasons (2012, 2013) and claim their first national championship since 1986. During his three seasons as Louisville’s starting point guard, Peyton Siva averaged 9.7 points, 5.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.
