3. DeJuan Wheat (1993-1997)

Louisville native and Ballard High School graduate DeJuan Wheat is the University of Louisville’s second all-time leading scorer with 2,183 career points. He also ranks first in minutes played (4,560), second in three-point field goals (323), fifth in assists (498), and seventh in steals (204).

From 1993-1997, DeJuan Wheat started a school-record 136 consecutive games and helped the Cards reach three Sweet Sixteens and one Elite Eight. Wheat was a two-time All-Conference USA first-team selection (1996, 1997) and a finalist for the 1997 Naismith Player of the Year Award during his senior season.

He is also the only player in program history to lead the Cards in both points and assists for three-straight seasons.
