Top 10 Point Guards in Louisville Men’s Basketball History

2. Milt Wagner (1981-1986)

Milt “Ice” Wagner ranks sixth all-time in scoring for the Cards with 1,834 career points, and he is also ninth in UofL history with 432 total assists. From 1981-1986, Wagner averaged 12.8 points per game while shooting 50.0% from the field and 81.4% from the charity stripe.

He was also a two-time All-Metro Conference first-team selection and played a total of 144 games with UofL, which ranks second in school history.

After missing almost the entire 1984-1985 season with a broken foot, Milt Wagner came back the following year and helped Louisville win its second national championship of the Denny Crum era. Overall, Wagner reached three Final Fours and won two Metro Conference Tournament championships with the Cards.
