Ransom McDermott is a 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle prospect in the Class of 2024. McDermott just announced his commitment to the University of Louisville via his Twitter page.

Ransom McDermott currently plays football for Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana. Noblesville is only a 45-minute drive from New Palestine, Indiana, which is where three-star offensive lineman Luke Burgess played in high school.

McDermott was primarily recruited to the University of Louisville by offensive line coach Richard Owens, who has only been with the program since January of this year. Owens came to Louisville from Georgia Southern, returning to his alma mater. And now he helped Jeff Brohm in landing the No. 13 overall prospect in the state of Indiana for the Class of 2024.

Four-star Madden Sanker and three-star Luke Burgess have made the University of Louisville a very attractive destination for offensive linemen to come to. Shortly after their arrival on campus, they launched L&M Eats, a vlog documenting their food discoveries around the city of Louisville.

With Burgess, and now McDermott, it is even more clear that Jeff Brohm values recruiting the Kentucky and Indiana areas. Brohm will likely land many more commitments over the years from Kentucky and Indiana.

Louisville was among several Division I schools pursuing Ransom McDermott. His other offers included the likes of the University of Kentucky, Miami (OH), Indiana University, Cincinnati, and West Virginia, among others. It will be exciting to watch him suit up in Cardinal Red in the coming years.
