Tiyon Evans – Junior – RB – 5’11 – 210 Lbs. Draft Expectation: 7th Round – Undrafted

If injuries hadn’t derailed Tiyon Evans’ season, I think I’d be able to include him as the fourth Cardinal guaranteed to be picked. But injuries and a limited catching profile have me questioning whether he will hear his name called, at all.

However, when Evans was healthy, he was a problem for all of the ACC.

Evans also impressed in the offseason by running a 4.52 40-yard dash, which was 8th among all running backs at the NFL Combine. That number may not seem super impressive for a running back, but for a guy listed at 225+ pounds, that’s pretty impressive.

Most mock drafts don’t have Evans getting picked at all, but NFL.com has Evans going at pick #194 to the Detroit Lions.

The NFL, as a whole, typically devalues running backs in the NFL Draft. Pair that with Evans’ injury history and his lack of pass-catching ability, and I don’t see him hearing his name called at the draft. There’s a chance he’s drafted late, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Most likely landing spots:

  • Detroit Lions
  • Dallas Cowboys
  • Seattle Seahawks
