In Memoriam:
RaeQuan Battle – Guard – 6’5″ – Montana State

The ‘In Memoriam’ section of this story is coming a little earlier than usual, but there are a lot of players the Cards were once interested in that have chosen a different school.

RaeQuan Battle was a new name to the list last week, and, though he had a long list of schools interested, there was some hope that Louisville could land his services since he was a tall portal guard that would fit Kenny Payne’s system well.

But, hopes of landing the 18 PPG scorer quickly evaporated when he committed to West Virginia and Head Coach Bob Huggins.

Battle is ranked as a Top 50 player in the transfer portal, according to On3, so his talent would’ve certainly been welcomed. He’s got a great combo of size, efficiency, and three-point shooting that should translate well as he moves up to Power Five basketball.
