Keyshawn Hall – 6’7″ – Guard – UNLV
This was a bit of a weird situation with the talented freshman out of UNLV. The staff reached out to Hall over a month ago, but after that news, it was radio silent between Louisville and the former Rebel.
But, late last week, Hall announced a top four schools list with Louisville included.
UNLV transfer Keyshawn Hall tells me he’s cut his list to four programs:

Louisville
Georgetown
George Mason
Texas
Hall averaged 5.4PPG and 1.6RPG last season. He also tells me he will be making his decision at 2pm tomorrow. @336Edits pic.twitter.com/9AzVIHUGDo
It seemed odd seeing Louisville on the list, and I was quick to announce the unlikeliness of Hall ending up as a Cardinal because his only visit was to George Mason. So it’s not surprising to see him pick the Patriots.

I’m guessing Hall just included Louisville in his Top-4 because we’re a big name school with tons of prestige, but, as far as I’m aware, the staff never offered Hall.
The self-proclaimed ‘big guard’ is an interesting player. He is extremely skilled for his size, and he almost reminded me of a smaller version of Kenneth Lofton Jr. He uses his body well and finishes nicely around the basket.
But there’s a reason he only played ten minutes a night for UNLV, and that’s because he’s too slow to guard anyone on the perimeter. He also had a propensity to turn the ball over.
Hall would have been an interesting addition to the team, but he had some pretty glaring issues in his game, and I don’t think he would’ve been much of a positive instant impact on next year’s team. I’m happy the coaching staff didn’t extend too much interest, because I think there are much better options with two remaining scholarships.
