Recruitment in the Class of 2024 still has not lost any momentum for Head Coach Jeff Brohm. Consensus three-star defensive back Jaiden Spearman has announced his official visit to the University of Louisville. His visit is set for June 9th-11th.

Just a few days ago, he released his Top 12 programs that he is considering, and the University of Louisville made the cut. Now, he’s coming to campus and the defensive back recruiting momentum continues.

Head Coach Jeff Brohm and Defensive Backs Coach Steve Ellis have put together arguably the best secondary in the ACC for this upcoming season. They landed elite transfers like Georgia’s Marcus Washington, Penn State’s Storm Duck, Virginia’s Cam’Ron Kelly, Texas A&M’s Marquis Groves-Killebrew, Baylor’s Devin Neal, and Miami’s Gilbert Frierson. Not to mention their returnees from last year and incoming freshman cornerback Aaron Williams.

The cornerback position will be an exciting aspect of the defense for years to come and defensive back prospect Jaiden Spearman could add to that list of talent. Heading into his senior season, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Spearman already has several Division I offers, including Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Duke, Florida, Michigan, and Maryland, among others.

A lot of programs are vying for his services, but if anyone has the ability to land a highly-coveted defensive back, it is Jeff Brohm and staff. Louisville has done a great job adding talent from the high school ranks and the transfer portal since the new staff arrived and it sure doesn’t seem like they’re slowing down.

Jaiden Spearman is originally from North Carolina, but has been playing football at The Loomis Chaffe School in Connecticut for the past two seasons. The only recorded stats for him are three tackles during his sophomore year. But, he is so much more than that.

He has a great frame and mobility to play the safety position at the next level, but he could also put on some more weight and play a safety/linebacker flex like Gilbert Frierson plays. He is one to keep an eye on for Louisville football.
