Nicholas Rodriguez is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound recruit from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is a consensus three-star prospect, per 247Sports, and the No. 59 overall linebacker prospect in the nation for the Class of 2024.

He recently announced his Top 6 schools that he’s considering, and Louisville made the list. Head Coach Jeff Brohm joins a list that includes Ohio State, LSU, Tennessee, Miami, and West Virginia.

Several top-tier collegiate programs are after Rodriguez and Jeff Brohm finds himself right in the mix. Since returning home to Louisville, Jeff Brohm has taken this program to a level that Scott Satterfield never reached. The buzz around the present and future of this program is unmatched.

Recently, Louisville landed a commitment from Florida linebacker Trent Carter. And if Nicholas Rodriguez commits, that would only strengthen the Florida to Louisville pipeline. According to AllHurricanes’ contributor, Corey Carmona, he has a lot of positive qualities:

Last year, as a junior, Rodriguez recorded 60 solo tackles and 33 assisted tackles for a total of 93 tackles. He also added 10 tackles for loss and 6 sacks. He is a bit of a backfield disruptor and would be perfect in a Cardinal uniform. If Jeff Brohm has proven anything thus far, it’s that he can win heated recruiting battles.

For example, he claimed Miami’s own TJ Capers and Michigan’s own Dylan Mesman. Not to mention, he pryed William Spencer and Shaun Boykins away from Kentucky. He is already building a very impressive track record with recruiting battles. Winning Nicholas Rodriguez’s recruiting battle would add another impressive win to the list.
