Jeff Brohm continues to add depth to his team through the the transfer portal. He just landed a commitment from Georgia State grad transfer, Jeff Clark.

Jeff Clark is the second transfer from Georgia State to join him in Louisville. The first one obviously being wide receiver Jamari Thrash. Both of them come in as grad transfers, but will be able to make an impact for the Cardinals.

Coming out of high school, Clark wasn’t highly rated. Per 247Sports, he was listed as a two-star prospect with offers from Tennessee Tech, Appalachian State, Georgia State, Eastern Kentucky, and Liberty, among others.

The 6-foot, 270-pound Clark was still playing at the Division I level, just in the Sun Belt Conference. But, it seemed to bode well for his production on the field.

In 30 games with the Panthers, he recorded 92 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks. Nine and a half of those tackles for loss came just last season and he is in the Top 10 of Georgia State’s program history with 9 sacks.

Primarily playing the defensive end position, he will be a solid depth addition to a defensive line that includes guys like Ashton Gillotte, Stephen Herron, Rodney McGraw, Adonijah Green, and Dezmond Tell, among others.

There are very few positions left that still have weaknesses in them. Jeff Brohm has done an incredible job adding talent and depth to this Cardinals team. Arguably, the most glaringly thin position is tight end. But, he did take a step in the right direction by adding Joey Gatewood.
