John Paul Flores – OL – Dartmouth/Virginia- 3-Star Transfer

Experience and size is what this line needed, and that’s exactly what we’re getting with this HOSS.

John Paul Flores spent his first four seasons at Dartmouth as a staple to their offensive line. In 2021, he was voted a Second-Team All-Ivy League offensive lineman.

And in 2022, Flores decided to transfer to Virginia.

Here’s a great snippet on Flores from Louisville Report’s Matt McGavic that goes in-depth on how Flores faired in his first season of ACC play.

"The 6-foot-4, 308-pound offensive guard/center was one of Virginia’s top offensive lineman during their 2022 campaign, as he was the Cavaliers’ second-highest rated offensive lineman behind Noah Josey with a grade of 60.6, according to Pro Football Focus. He started their first six games of the year at left guard, and even though an injury suffered against Louisville limited his play down the stretch, he still saw action in all 10 of UVA’s games."

It’s hard to find a solid transfer lineman, and it’s extremely rare to be able to steal a starting lineman from within your own conference, but that’s exactly what Brohm was able to do.

With years of experience as a starting guard, and a year of experience starting in the ACC, I expect to see Flores starting at left or right guard all season long.
