Isaac Guerendo – RB – Wisconsin – 3-Star Transfer

After the departures of Trevion Cooley and Jalen Mitchell, it was clear the Cards needed to add an instant-impact player from the transfer portal.

Guerendo spent five years with the Badgers and saw little playing time until his senior season.

And even in his fifth year, Guerendo still didn’t get a ton of opportunities ( Just 64 attempts). But what he did with those attempts was special. Guerendo averaged just south of 7 YPC (6.8) and scored 5 TDs on the ground.

And the former high school WR didn’t just make an impact on the ground. He also caught 17 passes for 115 yards and 1 TD.

The Cards already have two solid backs on the roster in Jawhar Jordan and Maurice Turner, but I think Guerendo brings a unique set of skills to this RB room.

Guerendo has great hands and is a powerful rusher inside the tackles. He’s not as quick or explosive as Jawhar or Mo Turner, but he brings a needed set of skills to this RB room.

Based on the spring game, I’d expect him to be 3rd on the depth chart, but still see a decent amount of usage, particularly on 3rd down and near the goal line.

Oh, and when he gets a full head of steam going, he’s pretty dang fast, too.
