Jamari Thrash – WR – Georgia State – 4-Star Transfer

The Georgia State transfer is one of two 4-star transfer wide receivers to find a new home in Louisville this offseason. Jamari Thrash spent his first three seasons at Georgia St. putting up relatively quiet numbers, but in 2022 he broke out.

Thrash put up a ridiculous stat line:

61 receptions, 1122 receiving yards, and 7 TDs.

That’s an 18.4 yard per catch average.

To put that into perspective, Tutu Atwell’s breakout sophomore year saw him put up 69 receptions, 1272 & 11 TDs. That’s good for 18.4 yards per catch, as well, and we all remember how explosive Tutu was.

With Brohm’s affinity for playing aggressively, I think a 1000+ yard season with a YPC above 16 is easily in the ‘cards’ for Thrash this year.

Thrash saw limited playing time in the spring game, but I think that was out of an abundance of caution, not because he isn’t a starter.

I’d expect him to come in and take over as this year’s number one receiving threat.
