Marquis Groves-Killebrew – CB – Texas A&M – 4-Star Transfer

Do you know what’s better than having one highly-ranked corner from Georgia on the team? Having two of them.

Marquis Groves-Killebrew was ranked just three position spots lower than Marcus Washington in the class of 2022 and was also named an Under Armor All-American. Killebrew was ranked just a few spots out of the top 100 during his senior season (No.114).

Despite Killebrew suffering a torn ACL towards the end of his senior season of high school, he was still able to make a bit of an impact against some high-level opponents. During his freshman season as an Aggie, Killebrew saw snaps against Florida and even played 30+ snaps and recorded two tackles against Ole Miss.

But following a mass exodus out of College Station, that saw 31 players leave A&M, Killebrew chose to return to his home state of Kentucky and represent the Cardinals.

Killebrew comes to Louisville in the same boat as Marcus Washington. Highly ranked in high school but limited playing time in college. Killebrew also has a similar frame to Washington (6’0 180 lbs.). I expect us to see both Washington and Killebrew used as depth pieces in their inaugural Cardinal season, but I expect them to be huge playmakers by 2024.
