No. 2: Start quick and score early

Louisville needs to put this game to rest early by scoring and capitalizing on drives earlier on in this game against Pitt.

Pitt has been in games in the first half this year. They were only down 4 last week against UNC with a minute left in the half, and were only down 1 at half to West Virginia. Pitt can hang with teams, but they can also start getting blown out in mere minutes. If Louisville can capitalize on drives early and get up multiple possessions then Pitt will have to rely on their offense to win the game. They do not want to do that, especially with a new starting quarterback.

If Louisville can score on their first few drives and put Pitt down 10-0 or 14-0 early, then the Cardinals will be in a good spot to win.

The Pitt defense in the last 2 weeks alone has given up 41 points to North Carolina and 38 points to a bad offensive Virginia Tech team. Louisville has a better offense than both of those teams, and if they can keep up the scoring there is almost no way Pitt will be able to keep up.

If Louisville can score early Pitt will have to start to score faster and that is not what Narduzzi wants his Panthers to do this saturday.

The offense needs to be on point and playing fast and early saturday night.
