No. 1: Execute the big plays

Louisville has had their fair amount of big plays this season, and they need to continue having them against Pitt.

Players like Jawhar Jordan and Jamari Thrash have been explosive for the Cardinals, and Jeff Brohm needs to look to execute them against this stout Pitt defense. Pitt only gives up around 282 yards a game, but they did struggle a lot last week against Drake Maye and North Carolina. If Jeff Brohm can get the ball to his playmakers in stride they will get the yardage. Just look at what Virginia Tech and UNC did to them in the last 2 weeks alone. Pitt was not at home during those games, but it is still eye opening how many points and yards they gave up.

Jack Plummer also doesn’t need to have a superhero game to win this game. If he can just get the ball to the playmakers and make the easy throws Louisville will be in a good spot offensively. Jack has made some arrant throws on the road this year. Especially 2 weeks ago against NC State. If Plummer plays cautious and timid the Cards will not be in a good spot. Plummer needs to be relaxed and Brohm needs to set him up with easy throws early to ease him into the game more.

Louisville should look to get big plays early to quiet the Pitt crowd and make Pat Narduzzi change his game game plan early.
