Louisville and Duke will kickoff at 3:30 on ESPN this saturday night

The ACC announced this morning that the Louisville Cardinals and the Duke Blue Devils would kickoff at 3:30 this saturday. Both teams will likely go into the game ranked in the top 25 as Louisville was ranked 21st during the bye week. While Duke is ranked 16th, but that will likely change after their 38-20 loss to Florida State. They shouldn’t drop too low in the rankings however, as Duke was even leading the 4th ranked Seminoles going into the 4th quarter.

Louisville will host a pivotal matchup in the ACC standing next weekend, since they will need to win out the rest of their conference games to even have a chance at the ACC championship. Duke will be a tough matchup for the Cardinals and even in the 2 games they lost this season, they have looked very good. Duke’s only losses are to Notre Dame and FSU, which is pretty good company if you ask me.

Cardinal fans were likely looking for a 7:30 game time announcement after the Notre Dame win, but a 3:30 game time is still good. The sun will start to set as the 4th quarter gets underway, and Louisville will certainly have an advantage with the game being at L&N Stadium.

This will be game 1 of a 3 game home stretch for the Cardinals as they face Duke, Virginia Tech, and Virginia. Starting it off right against a talented Duke team would be an ideal start, and would at least put the Pitt loss to the back of the minds of fans.

Duke at Louisville will kickoff at 3:30, on ESPN, inside L&N Stadium, on Saturday October 28th.
