Louisville moves up 3 spots to #18 in the AP Poll after their bye week
The Louisville Cardinals are coming off a bye week and they moved up 3 spots in the AP Poll after falling from #14 to #21 after their road loss to Pittsburgh. Louisville has been in the poll since week 6, where they were ranked #25 and moved up to #14 after beating Notre Dame, but then fell to #21 after their loss to Pitt. The Cardinals got back into the top 20 but they need to be on top of things this week as they take on #20 Duke this weekend.
Louisville is also ranked 18th in the coaches poll, so the national media seems to have the same view on the Cardinals. They have a chance to improve in the polls this weeked, as I stated above they are playing the Duke Blue Devils this weekend in L&N Stadium, so this can only improve the Cardinals standings if they win.
Other ACC teams who are ranked in the week 9 AP Poll:
#4 Florida State; Won over then ranked #16 Duke on saturday, no movement
#17 North Carolina; Lost to 1-5 Virginia at home on saturday, down 7 spots
#20 Duke; Lost to Florida State 38-20 on saturday, down 6 spots
Miami also recieved votes but did not make it into the final poll. The Hurricanes beat Clemson last night to advance to 5-2.
