No. 1: Jawhar Jordan/Isaac Guerendo/Maurice Turner

I know it might seem like cheating to list Louisville’s top 3 rushers for one player, but the context is needed for this to make sense. Jawhar Jordan may not play this week against Duke, so Guerendo and Turner will be very important when it comes to Louisville’s rushing offense. Duke’s secondary is flawless, and while their front 5 is also very good, they are beatable. Louisville’s offensive line has been very good this season, but after losing OL Renato Brown to Pitt’s slippery turf they will be tested against Duke.

Jordan has been a star in the Cardinal offense this season, and his long touchdown runs have been things of beauty in every game this season. Louisville struggled without him against Pitt, as they only had 80 rushing yards in the entire game. However, Brohm didn’t decide to run the ball very much against Pitt and decided to throw the ball 50 times in the rain, which was baffling to see looking back on it.

Brohm needs to trust his running backs if Jordan is or isn’t available. Guerendo and Turner have had shining moments this season, and Brohm needs to trust them because his rushing is still good even without Jordan.

If Jordan does play Brohm does needs to feed him the rock. Jordan has sliced up every team this season besides NC State, and he should be able to against Duke too, as long as he plays.

The rushing attack is important in this game, and all 3 rushers are key to produce good yardage on the ground this saturday against the Duke Blue Devils.
