Louisville Football Ranks #13 in first CFB playoff poll this season

The Louisville Cardinals moved up to #13 in the first college football playoff poll of the season. The Cardinals were #15 in the AP and coaches poll on Sunday, but moved up to #13 in the CFB playoff poll tuesday night.

The Cardinals defeated previously ranked #20 Duke Blue Devils last saturday in a blowout 23-0 win, in what i’m sure boosted the Cardinals luck in this poll. Florida State ranked in at #3 in the poll as well, being the only other ACC team in the poll. If Louisville makes it to the ACC championship game this season, they will likely face Florida State, so they are team to watch till the end of the year.

Louisville will face Virginia Tech this saturday in what will be the biggest conference game of the season so far for the Cardinals. This game will decide who has 2nd place in the ACC, and will put the Cardinals in great position to finish out the year if they win. Louisville controls their own destiny in the ACC, and possibly even the college football playoff.

Louisville will still face Virginia Tech, Virginia, and travel to Miami to end ACC for the season.
