No. 1: Louisville has the talent and coaching to win the ACC and make the CFB Playoff

It may seem ludicrous to think that Louisville would even have the possibility to make the ACC championship and possibly make the CFB Playoff in Jeff Brohms first year, but it is a major possibility now. After the Notre Dame win I had inklings that this team could possibly run the table, but then the Pitt loss happened and a lot fans lost some faith in this team. However, after a dominating Duke win, I think the Cardinals have proved they can be capable of reaching new heights by the end of the season.

Duke is a really good football team, they may not be ranked anymore, but they are still an extremely solid team. They blew out all of their previous competition, lost by a last second TD to Notre Dame, and even led the #3 team in the nation going into the 4th quarter just a week ago. I didn’t even mention that this team may have sent Clemson and Dabo Swinney back down to earth to start the year, with a 28-7 win. The only thing holding them back against FSU last week was not having Riley Leonard at full force. Duke runs the ball well and plays some of the best defense in all of the FBS, and the fact that Louisville beat them the way they did is undoubtedly impressive. If Riley Leonard is 100% against FSU then who knows, maybe the Blue Devils could have upset them on the road.

The national media will tell you Duke was a fluke and that they have fallen off since the start of the season. If look at who they played and their wins/losses, along with their stats, you will see that the Blue Devils are a good team and that Louisville beat them at their own game.

With Jeff Brohm, Louisville can seemingly accomplish anything this season, and winning the ACC and making the CFB Playoff is now a possibility for the Cardinals because of a dominant win over a historically good Duke football team.
