Louisville Football will wear a new uniform combo against Virginia Tech, to commemorate salute to service night at L&N Stadium

The Louisville Cardinals and Virginia Tech Hokies will play on Saturday for the first game of November for both teams, in what will be a huge ACC showdown. Not only are the Hokies coming to visit on salute to service night, but the Cardinals will spout the retro cardinal on the helmet and all black uniforms. The Cardinals are 2-0 with the retro cardinal helmet, and not only that, but they have outscored opponents 79-0 in those 2 games. Louisville defeated Murray State 56-0 and Duke last week 23-0.

The Cardinals have only worn the all black uniforms in the Murray State at the beginning of the year, and finally have brought them out again for this game against Virginia Tech.

The Cardinals worn a lot more classic looks this season with Jeff Brohm as the head coach. There have been no chrome helmets, and have mostly gone for classic red and white uniform combos. Except for when they wore all whites a couple times this season.

If you are into superstitious uniform wins and losses, this combo for the Cardinals should bode well for you. The Cardinals have not only won, but won big in these helmets, and by these helmets history Louisville should play very, very, well.

Brohm and the Cardinals will sport some good uniforms this weekend, and it is only a perfect fit for salute to service weekend.
