Louisville and Florida State lead the ACC in the newest CFB Playoff Poll

The Louisville Cardinals are coming off a dominating win over Virginia Tech this past saturday, and hoped that the win would result in jumping up some spots in the CFB Playoff Poll.

Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals should be happy.

Louisville jumped up to #11 in the poll, while Florida State remained at #4 in the poll tonight. Louisville still has a path in making the College Football Playoff, and although a decent amount of chaos would need to happen, it is still possible. Florida State however, is in the best spot they could be in. They are inside the top 4 and as long as they win out they should be in the CFB Playoff.

Louisville and Jeff Brohm may have something to say about that come the ACC championship game, but for now these 2 ACC teams will be focused on their upcoming games.

North Carolina also sneaked in at #24 in the poll. They were as high as #10 just a couple weeks ago, but after losing to Georgia Tech and Virginia they fell out of the poll completely. They are a talented team and deserve to be back in it after just a couple of bad losses.

Here is the complete 2nd College Football Playoff Poll below:

The Cardinals were #11 in the AP and Coaches poll when they came out on sunday, so there not a lot of movement between these 2 different polls. While Florida State remains at #3 in all three polls, even after a low scoring 24-7 win over Pitt.

Louisville will take on Virginia this Thursday night, and will need to keep winning to move up in the poll. Florida State will also need to keep winning to keep their spot as well.

This is the time of year you can’t slip up if you’re in the top 25, especially if you are in the ACC.
