3. Ashton Gillotte, junior

One of the most unique skills in football is the ability to pressure the quarterback from the interior of the defensive line. NFL teams love players who can collapse a pocket from the three-technique and Ashton Gillotte can.

He’s playing on the edge more this season than last, but at 6-foot-3 270 pounds he’s a versatile defensive lineman who can play both inside and out. Gillotte has 10 sacks already this season after finishing last year with seven.

He could certainly come back to improve his draft stock, but a double-digit sack season with three forced fumbles probably already has the attention of the NFL. Louisville will have a few big games down the stretch and if Gillotte continues to dominate he could capitalize on that momentum and leave for the league.
