No. 2: Jack Plummer proved he CAN win games in the 4th quarter
Jack Plummer has been criticized pretty much all season for not being the quarterback that Cardinal fans thought he was coming into the season. Last Thursday night he seemed to have proved his critics wrong. Plummer had a lackluster 3rd quarter, but had a great end to the game. He had a 52 yard bomb to Amari Huggins-Bruce, which tied the game at 24-24.
Plummer’s game had its up and downs, as he threw a costly pick six in the 3rd quarter, but also had the biggest play in the game. It is hard to gauge on any day how good Plummer will play, but in the 4th quarter he has played well. In the past 3 games he has played quite well, and during the 4th quarter against Virginia he led Louisville to win the game.
It will be interesting to see how Plummer plays on the road against Miami this saturday. He has struggled on the road this season, and Miami will put everything they got into stopping the run. Plummer will need to give it his all for the Cardinals to beat Miami, and if he plays in the 4th quarter like he did against Virginia, Louisville will be in good hands.
