Louisville lands in a surprising spot in latest CFB Playoff Rankings

In the 3rd edition of the College Football Playoff Poll the Louisville Cardinals were expected to move up 2 spots to #9 based on their ranking in the coaches and AP poll spots. When the rankings come out the Cardinals were put in the #10 spot behind a 2 loss Missouri team.

I understand that Missouri has played a harder schedule than Louisville, but the fact that the Tigers jumped up 5 spots over the Cardinals seems a little odd to me. The Cardinals still have a chance to make the CFB Playoff in my eyes, so is the committee saying that Missouri has a better chance of making it with 2 losses? It just doesn’t add up right.

The Cardinals still have a chance to make the college football playoff, but they will need some chaos to occur along with defeating its next 2 games with Miami and Kentucky. Not only will Louisville need to win these games, but they will likely need to dominate them to even have a shot to make the playoff. A win against Miami will also guarantee an ACC Championship berth for the Cardinals.

Hopefully it will just give the Cards a better reason to dominate Miami and Kentucky in the next two weeks, and force the committee to give Louisville the respect they deserve in the CFB Playoff poll.
