What does Louisville football have at stake against Miami this Saturday?

The Louisville Cardinals will travel down to Hard Rock Stadium this Saturday to take on the Miami Hurricanes and there’s a lot at stake for the Cardinals. If the Cardinals beat the Hurricanes then they will reach a berth for the ACC Championship, even though they could still make it if they lose, a win at Miami would make it a lot easier for Louisville.

If North Carolina loses to Clemson or NC State then the Cards will make the ACC Championship, but if the Cardinals win they will officially be facing the Florida State Seminoles in 2 weeks. A lot is at stake for Louisville this week, including an ACC Championship berth and a possible college football playoff berth. The Cardinals need some momentum going into senior night against Kentucky, and even more momentum against a possible FSU matchup. If they want any shot at making the CFB Playoff then they have to win out, and that includes a road trip to Miami.

These are the 2 games that define a good season from a great season, and if Louisville wants to reach the stars in the 1st year under Jeff Brohm then they need to beat Miami. If the Cardinals lose this game then they will not make the CFB Playoff, possibly miss out on the ACC Championship, and will have some pretty bad vibes going into the Kentucky game next weekend. This is everything that Louisville does not want, and winning against Miami would give you the right momentum going into a heated rivalry game and ACC Championship game.

Jeff Brohm has led this team far above where most fans thought they would be, but everything is on the line for the Cardinals against Miami. Only time will tell if this will be a good or great season for the Cardinals.
