Caleb Hall’s final score prediction for Louisville vs. Miami

The game between the Louisville Cardinals and the Miami Hurricanes is the most important ACC game this season (and yes I mean it this time). If the Cardinals win this game then they will go to the ACC Championship to faceoff against Florida State, and while they can make it without a win today, relying on other teams to lose is not completely ideal.

Miami will likely bring pressure towards the Cardinal offense line and make Jack Plummer throw the ball to win the game. Miami knows Louisville will want to run the ball and make it the focal point of their offense, and they will likely try to shut that down and make Louisville win the game by passing the football. Jack Plummer proved in the 4th quarter last week that he is capable of leading the Cardinals to win the game from behind. if Plummer can do that for 4 quarters then Louisville should not have much trouble winning this game. However, Plummer has struggled a lot doing that for 4 quarters, especially on the road.

Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke will also be back in the starting spot this week, and Louisville needs to bring the pressure on him. Van Dyke has already thrown 12 interceptions on the season so far, and if the Cardinals can force him to be uncomfortable they will have success on defense.

The Cardinals need to force turnovers and find some success in the passing game if they want to win this game, and will need to play much better than they have previously on the road this season.

I expect the Cardinals to struggle on the road against the Hurricanes, but I think they will pull out a victory because of the stifling defense up front, and Jack Plummer being able to throw the ball in the 4th quarter.
