Jeff Brohm Leads Louisville To First ACC Championship Appearance
By Caleb Hall
Louisville is headed to the ACC championship for the first time ever
The Louisville Cardinals have had a special season this year, and they clinched a berth to the ACC Championship with a win at Miami today.
The Cardinals were in a dogfight with Miami, and it was a game that came down to the wire. But coach Brohm found a way for Louisville to come out with a win, and it sends the Cardinals to a game that they have never been to. The Cardinals joined the ACC in 2013, and after ten years they finally will appear in the championship game to take on a very good and talented Florida State team.
Louisville also is in the college football playoff hunt as they still only have one loss on the season. With a win against Kentucky and Florida State, the Cards would stand at 12-1 and if the right amount of CFB chaos happens, who knows how far the Cardinals could go.
A key for the ACC Championship game is FSU quarterback Jordan Travis. Travis has been a star player for FSU, and was carted off the field last night in their win over North Alabama. It was terrible injury to a great former Louisville player and hopefully he has a quick recovery. However, with a 2nd string QB the Cardinals should have an upper hand in the matchup, at least offensively.
Jeff Brohm has led the Louisville Cardinals to the ACC Championship, and it could not be a better start for the hometown hero. All that is left is a matchup against Kentucky in less than a week.
